Chocolate Heaven

There are two kinds of people in this world. Ones who can’t stand Valentine’s Day and ones who can.

Regardless of your stance on this hallmark holiday, there’s one thing most of us can agree on, Valentine’s Day means chocolate!

I was in Milan for Valentine’s Day, working. But I was able to sneak a bit of sweetness into my life by means of a chocolate exhibition!img_6204-2

As amazing as that sounds I can assure you it was even better. From the moment you walk in the scent of chocolate envelopes you, and unless you hate chocolate (monster!) it’s the most heavenly scent there is!

This exhibition had everything from big company’s like Lindt to small companies who hand cut their bars in front of you.

It even provided a section where you could learn about the cocoa pod, plant and farming systems!

They had the top of the line technology on site, so you could see just what goes into making everything.

And even chocolate fashion!

The best part was that you could sample something from each vendor, and trust me, that’s a lot of chocolate for one person to try.

It was here I discovered the creamiest, most delicious gelato I’ve ever tried. And as an Italian, it’s safe to say I’ve tried a lot. Then I discovered it was from Belgium! trust me, I’m just as surprised as you are! Sorry Italy…

But really, if you’re ever in Belgium, find this gelato! you can thank me later.

You’d think that after trying so much chocolate, I would have been sick of it after the night was through

But no.

Not only did I bring home a decent amount, but I’m munching on some as I’m writing this blog.

I regret nothing.

Until Next Time! Xx
