Edit: This post was postponed due to the recent events in Nice.
Have you ever woken up and decided to go to Southern France for a week?
Normally I’d be right there with you. However, a few months back I was lucky enough to take a last-minute trip to Nice and a few other cities in southern France before heading back to the US. Can we say #blessed? The trip was so last minute, we were making our hotel reservations on the train, only a city away from our final location! Thankfully, everything sorted itself almost by magic….and lot’s of convincing.
While I’ve been to Nice before, I was never able to spend much time and take it all in, so it’s safe to say I was looking forward to our impromptu trip.
Luckily for us, we were able to catch the large farmer’s market they hold in the old city center. It was lush with ripe fruit and veg and lots of local cheese, meats and bread. Plus a massive section of flowers that smelled out of this world. If only you could capture scents in photos!
It was a gorgeous spring day, which was a nice change from the still present winter we were having in Switzerland. So it only made sense to make the most of it and whip out my warm weather wardrobe! It’s difficult to pack light and still want to be stylish, I struggle with it on every trip I take, but after lot’s of practice, I can officially say I’m becoming a capsule packing pro.
