Hi everyone! Today’s post has some really exciting news! I’ve officially had my first published work in an online magazine!!
*cue happy dance*
Back in January me and three other amazing girls worked together on an 8-page editorial spread for STREETS magazine online. Our theme was Oversized and Feminine, which was perfect for a spring/summer collection shoot.
While we pulled our PR samples as individual pairs, the looks came together seamlessly for a cohesive story. We found out we would be working with the already well established Kenneth Lam as our photographer, so I had no concerns with how the photos would come out in the end.
On the day of we arrived on set, and by on set I mean at a cemetery. That’s right, our shoot was located in a large, very old looking cemetery in East London. At that moment I won’t say I wasn’t a little worried. I didn’t want out gorgeous pastel clothes to be photographed amongst headstones and tombs. It wasn’t supposed to be that kind of look. However, we were assured that our look wouldn’t have that spooky graveyard feel, and in fact barely went near a single tombstone throughout the whole shoot. Here are some behind the scenes from the day.
It’s amazing to have the opportunity to work amongst such amazing professionals PLUS have your work out there for everyone to see. This photoshoot was the first of many, and I can’t wait to share them all here with you!
